discover the rich diversity of fauna and the captivating beauty of flora in all their creative forms and vibrant colors. the “wild life” exhibition in berlin, curated by cuong bui manh. the artworks by the two illustrators kamilla nafikova and lisa goebel offer a unique and multifaceted glimpse into the breathtaking wonders of nature.
to emphasise these characteristics, the works were created using the risograph printing process.
my focus for this exhibition was to work as multifaceted and yet surreal as possible, as i am most fascinated by the diversity of nature and wanted to extend this through the unlimited possibilities of illustration and incorporate it into my artistic style. the colour scheme of the risographic artworks is hunter green and fluo orange. despite the great variety of motifs, the two colours give the works a creative thread that unites them alongside the stylistic one. it was also an exciting creative challenge for me to reduce the use of colour in these works and to explore the many possibilities of combining two colours in risography more intensively.
